I just recently purchased the Lowrance Hook-9 and have
only been out on a test run with it but it is very user
friendly and compared to the ancient Garmin I had I
look forward to the wider colored screen. Having to adjust
transducer but looking forward to using it. The price on
these now have dropped to $799 which is about what the
original price was with the $200 rebate offer.

I went from lowrance to Garmin then back to lowrance then to simrad. Once I got my first simrad I haven't looked back. Love it. Keep in mind that simrad owns lowrance. So when it comes to simrad vs. lowrance, it's kinda like Cadillac vs. Chevrolet.

Big price drop today on Garmin Echomap Ultra 106. Dropped $1,000 while still including the transducer. 10 inch screen. I have the 7 and it is amazing.

I just purchased a boat with a full Raymarine package on it (Older) w Radar and sounder
I am adding a Simrad NSS 12 EVO3 as my primary. They are on sale for $1999 at a few places as the new 12s has been introduced (At $4000)

I will eventually take the raymarine off and add a second 12 or 12s and a simrad radar.

(If anyone needs a c120w with a 300dsm and a 24" Raymarine digital radar.... met me know and it may step up my timing) shrug
